I have been using this service for a few years now. I think it's great. The only thing I don't like is that the bill posts on the due date instead of the date I post it. So there not showing it as a early payment. They used to but they have changed it.
I just called cusomer service, and got a real person. I was advised that they were updating their softwatre and it should be running. So far, nothing.
I have been using MCF now for a few years and have not had any problems. Until today. I went to acces the page via my book mark. Nothing. I entered the address and again nothing. I googled it and got a trojan. Does anyone know what happened to MCF?
My husband and I have used mycheckfree for a couple of years now and are completely pleased. I have read some of the negative remarks left by other users and have not experienced anything close to what they have described. NEVER has it taken 7-10 days to post a payment - unless I chose for the payment to be delivered 7-10 days later. I have only good things to say about the service and have recommended it to many friends and family members.
The amounts due were never correct. I would get balances from months ago that had long been paid. It is the worst. I deleted all my accounts and will never use my check free again.
I have used MyCheckFree for several bills. I have never had a problem. Until I personally do have a problem, I will stay with them. If it is not broke I do not fix.
MyCheckFree is the worst online payments system, yet major companies use this service as a means of paying bills. I have found you must use the same password on each account you pay through MCF, otherwise their system resets denies your password. You cannot easily set up new account information.
I paid my Ecel bill on 10-18-2008, checked my bank statement on 10-27 was not paid. Called Ecel and had to pay by phone check. Will never use this service again.
I received a letter from My Check Free, saying my payment was returned due to insufficient funds. They were using an account I canceled in June. They also put it through on my current account. Are they trying to collect twice?? I am done with them.
I do not like checkfree as when you have a check returned back to them. and you noticed that this happen and you make that payment at the back. They don't check their records before they send that payment back through to the bank. They like to take your money away from you. Even through you have other bills. If the bank catches so should the company you owe the payment to. All they do is give you the run around, that they can't do anything about it. So that is why I will NOT BE USING MY CHECKFREE SITE again. I will make my payment at the bank now on.

I HATE MYCHECKFREE!!! They are terrible! The problem as I see it is they outsource everything, and the idiots that input information have problems doing it correctly.
They are ruining customers relationships with credit card, and billing companies.
I am reporting them to the Fair Credit Consumer Act.
I hope they completely go out of business!!

Several months ago I was offered the opportunity to pay my Lowe's bill online via Check Free. At that time I elected to receive an e-Bill on the account. When I attempted to enter my banking information to make a payment the system would never accept the information. I then asked to override the e-Bill and begin receiving paper statements again. I paid the account at a local Lowes's store by the due date but accidentally wrote the check $3.00 short. Until July 4th I did not receive any notification whatsoever, either through an e-Bill or a paper statement, that I still owed $3.00. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I owed $179.41 in interest and late payment penalties. Fortunately, I was able to get this resolved quickly and courteously by GE Money but cannot even find a way to reach Customer Service at CheckFree for resolution. I will never attempt any transactions with this company again.
I did not realize MyCheckFree took 7-10 business days for the payment to be delivered. And I am not pleased with the tracking number they give you when payment is made via MyCheckFree because if you want to check status of payment, that tracking number doesn't do anything but just sit there.
I've used MCF for several years and no problem. Today, I can't get on. What happened? Did I miss a notice from you about a change in program?
