I have used mcf for many years. Only time have had problem was of my own doing. Wish more vendors signed up so could do all with one site. When Discover pulled out I dropped the card. Have recommended it to many and have good feedback from those who followed recommendation.

I have been using mycheckfree for several years. I am so thrilled with their service and always recommend their site to people that are not aware that this option exists. I have only called customer service once when I forgot my log-in name (major senior moment) and the person on the line was helpful, friendly and sympathetic.
I find their site very easy to navigate. Even though I could pay my bills on-line with my bank (and get points for doing so), I prefer MCF. I love that I can pay all of my bills at one time and each one will be payed on the date I authorize.
I am writing this because I saw some negative comments and I believe that people should complain when necessary but not forget to give praise when due. All I know is my experience which has been all positive.

I'm a real user of MyCheckFree and have had no problems with payments or anything else. But I've never had any need to contact customer service so I cannot remark on that. I will disclose that I always set my payments to occur a few days before due date (I even do that on billers' own sites, when they don't participate with MyCheckFree). I will agree with the previous poster that the payment amount defaults to the minimum do, but the billed amount is always displayed so you can simply copy and paste it instead. What's the big deal about that? If you use the billers' own sites you might have to log into 5 or 10 separate sites each month, each with a different username, password, and site feel. You can get it all done with MyCheckFree with perhaps 2 visits a month.

Too bad Discover pulled out of MyCheckFree - I have to do that one separately and that's an annoyance.

I applaud the majority of billers (such as American Express) who make it easy to pay with either their own site or MyCheckFree, interchangeably.

Whenever it is time to pay my Macy's bill through checkfree, I become very agitated. This "Checkfree" service is the most annoying and difficult and confusing service I have every encountered. Then I read that if one uses "checkfree", their accounts may have been compromised. I am canceling.

CORRECTION: I was able to set my Wal Mart credit account at their web site. This I've done on my other credit cards also, it takes a little time to go each account but it's worth it. Everything is shown on the statement and it's updated.

I've been using mcf for several years. The accounts are not updated when they should be. I've had to call the merchants to find out what my true balance is. The only one I've had no problem with is Entergy. I cannot view my statements with the other accounts because of some problem with their web site. Very annoying to deal with this company. Most of these merchants furnish a web site directly for payments on line. Wal Mart is partnered with mcf and I cannot set my account up on line. I've called them before about not being able to view my statements and was told it was probably something wrong with my computer, not true. Eventually their web site was fixed so that I could review my statements to get the correct balance. Now it's doing the same thing again. I've deleted all but Entergy. I will have to set Wal Mart back up to pay on line. When that is paid, it will be deleted also. I'm really disgusted with mcf

It appears the payment options are purposely misleading to generate late fees. Traditionally credit card bill pay provides 3 amounts to choose from: min payment, statement amount, and account balance. Mycheckfree does not show all three options and by default populates the payment amount with the the minimum amount so that you run a balance and they can charge you late fees and interest charges. Shame on such business practices. I bet they are getting a cut of these fees from the credit card issuer. Nothing wrong with designing their business models how they see fit, but purposely misleading the customer is wrong. Mycheckfree is owned by Fiserv. Note to Banana Republic: it is damaging to your brand to pick a bill pay provider like Mycheckfree.

I am an almost beginner 80 years old, using MCF and enjoy the service. Now I want to add another biller, and do not understand the method to add to my list. It is not on your list of current billers,, now I do not where to turn. can you please help me add this additional biller or is this company not on your biller list., Thank you so much for your time and interest. perky03pets

I love check free. Never one problem. I've been using this service for several years and I give it an A+. Wish I could pay all my bills using this site.

Mycheckfree implies that it provides an archive of your online bills. It does do that for some few billers, but not for most. And, it hides your account number from you - so you have to go find your bill number from an old printed bill (assuming you can find one) in order to establish an online account with the biller to be able to see your e-bills. Some billers (notably Comcast) send important notices via the bills - and if you can't get the bill, you'll never get the notice. This has led to our having our cable service effectively cut off without notice - because we had to get new equipment that we received no notice for - because it went to my checkfree, who never forwarded it to us - or made it available to us. Since they hide our account number from us, we can't even easily fix the problem by establishing an online account with Comcast. Awesome!!

And, they have literally no way to contact them except for a non-existent web chat - that they _claim_ to provide (but, of course, they don't). So, I would stay FAR away from these folks - unless you live one of those rare lives where nothing will ever go wrong.

correction! MCF would actually have to have customer 'service' to give 'bad customer service'. please accept my apologies for my misleading post--to be clear, the company, MCF, is horrifically BAD (and there are plenty of other options available) --not the 'customer service', again, the customer service could be very reliable, especially in comparison to the actual service that check-free allegedly provides. (if they were to actually implement a department with a focus on service, online or otherwise)

the planted "comments" about the good customer service crack me up!
so obviously FAKE. really? you don't use your name and you've used check-free for 9 amazing years?
i bet that's how long it took for your payment to post--that i *would* believe.

I have been using MyCheckFree since 2006 for several of my accounts. I have never had a problem with the site, or receiving e-mail notifying me of payment due, or for the payment being made on the correct date. I have had NO reason to contact customer service so I can't comment on that. I think the problems related here are exceptions and not the rule. I love the MyCheckFree service!

do not expect your payments to show up for at least a week. horrid, horrible, non-existent customer service. will now search for an alternative to paying my bills online. (i tried to contact the company to discuss, it's impossible. if you happen to read this and you work for MCF, please feel free to contact me--though i do realize that this will never happen.)

I may get out of Checkfree as I could not contact checkfree by phone or email to discuss about a bill from Columbia Gas. Very poor customer service.
